Our Signage Design in Action

Tapping the full range of media development skills at Thieme Creative Media, clients in recent months have come to us for everything from moving a client's website from Host Gator to Go Daddy, revitalizing the editorial content and graphic design in a Membership Marketing kit, media relations consultation, eNewsletter design and layout via Constant Contact, logo design and accompanying corporate tagline for a defense contractor, church fundraising pamphlets, to website creation in partnership with Network Solutions.

From strategizing an overall marketing plan for 2010 to billboard design to storefront signage and promotion, Thieme Creative Media is helping SmartHomes Plus in southern Maryland implement all of its promotional activities for the year. Most recently, we've helped SmartHomes Plus orchestrate the transfer of the company's existing website from a Baltimore firm to TCM. Additionally, TCM has handled the transfer of the client's web hosting services from Host Gator to Go Daddy. TCM is also making sure SmartHomes has full administrative documentation for their website that previously did not exist. TCM is making marketing and functionality improvements on the old site with plans for a full website makeover to take place later in 2010.

McCready Boatyard and Railway {Lusby, Maryland} wanted to be online, but had limited funds to support this online marketing objective. TCM utilized a small business website design package from Network Solutions. For under $1,500, TCM was able to guide McCready on domain selection and registration, one year's web hosting services from NS, and the creation, layout and design of a basic six to eight-page website. TCM, who normally creates all of its custom websites in Dreamweaver, mastered the intricacies of NS' own Website Builder Tool. TCM selected one of NS' many web templates, tapped its own photo archives, assisted McCready with copywriting and content organization, and within four weeks time launched the new McCready website. For the fifth consecutive year, Sheila Gibbons of Christ Church in St. Mary's county, came to TCM for the design and layout of the church's annual fundraising pamphlet. TCM enjoys this annual assignment since Gibbons always brings great photographs to spark TCM's graphic design concepts. TCM provides all faith-based organizations a 25% discount on graphic design fees.

Last fall, the Calvert County Health Department retained Thieme Creative Media for our media relations expertise. We have coordinated direct mail postcard to all county residents, editorial media alerts to both print and online mass media outlets, newspaper public service announcements, animated banner announcements for area online portal, photographing both digital still and streaming video clips, providing suggestions on website editorial content, etc.

Simon Lessing of Boulder, Colorado selected us for the marketing, design and creation of a virtual training website. Additionally, Simon asked us to design the first corporate logo for his new sporting endeavor, Boulder Coaching. We also produced the design and layout for his special triathlon event handout. Several of the site's pages quickly attained Top 10 ranking on Google and other major search engines. The website attracted close to 30 triathlete trainees within the first six months of the new site being launched.

Recently, students from the Dr. James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center’s Television/Video Production Program participated in four skill contests at the Maryland SkillsUSA State Championships. The Forrest Center was the only school to have students in the state competing in the Video Product Development and Audio/Radio Production contests. As a result, Thieme Creative Media, along with seven other area media professionals was asked to view and judge the student productions. For full school news release, click here.

Tapping our logo creation and design skills, the Charles County Parks and Recreation department asked us to create their new Indian Head Rail Trail logo. We delivered per the agreed upon advance quote three original design comps from which the governmental agency determined their final selection. Only a few minor graphical adjustments were required. This signage design is already receiving strong kudos. This is all part of a $100,000 grant the Parks Department has received for the development of the Indian Head Heritage Rail Trail. Our logo design will be along the planned 13 mile long hiker/biker trail.
